Why did you want to be a GSDE?
I became a graduate supervisor for the CUE program because the work this program does goes beyond the residential halls. My passion is working with students through the CUE program. Not only am I doing that, but I am working with passionate, driven, dedicated students who want to be mover and shakers of tomorrow. My undergrad is in Social Studies Education and through my undergraduate work I have learned that social justice, diversity education can change our world. I want to work with students who want to be a part of that change.
Why do you think the CUE Program is important for IU?
The CUE Program is important for IU because we all want to bring awareness to all types of topics in the world no matter how controversial they can be. To promote student growth and to show them that we are here for them. We want all students to feel welcomed, safe, and respected on IU’s campus no matter who they are or where they come from.
